iLab Solutions Ltd is proud to sponsor The Broughton & Brooklands over 35’s football team in Milton Keynes. The brainchild of Mr Martin Theobald, a local resident, the team aims to develop fitness and mental well-being in the local community. Martin told us:
“Facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic affected all of us; limiting our ability to take part in team sports and social events. Ironically, lockdown resulted in many people struggling with their mental health and it has also become apparent that a generally healthy lifestyle is a factor in our ability to fight this disease.”
Martin brought his idea to the attention of local business owner, James Bull; Managing Director of iLab Solutions, who was only too happy to support the fledgling team. James added:
“Now that lockdown is easing, I felt it was crucial to give people the opportunity to become part of a social activity that can raise their fitness and also reduce any effects of mental illness that may appear as a result of the “new normal” we are all facing. I was more than happy for my business to sponsor the team and help Martin to get it established.”
The first competitive “friendly” match is on Thursday 6th August – we wish the team well!
