In 2024, ReGenFix announced its partnership with iLab Solutions.
As an Italian based company, the collaboration was designed to give easy access to UK customers to ReGenFix's column regeneration programme, as iLab Solutions was their only UK partner.
We couldn't be happier and more proud to promote ReGenFix. Since our day of collaboration, the column regeneration programme has been very successful and has allowed our own customers to come forward with unusable, discoloured, stained or cracked columns to be made like new through ReGenFix!
Don't waste your chromatography columns, Regenfix them!
ReGenFix is a biotech company that specializes in restoring, recalibrating, and repacking exhausted FPLC (Fast Protein Liquid Chromatography) columns. Rather than discarding old columns, they can be shipped to ReGenFix to be chemically cleaned, refilled with fresh resin, and restored to original performance at a fraction of the cost of buying new.
Not only is the process more cost-efficient, but also more sustainable and environmentally friendly. ReGenFix promotes regeneration instead of disposal in order to reduce the environmental footprint of laboratory consumables. By extending the lifespan of chromatography resins and columns, ReGenFix cuts waste and CO₂ emissions linked to manufacturing, transport, and disposal. Each regenerated column reduces material use up to 30-fold, lowering emissions from new resin production. The ReGenFix process uses only mild, water-soluble reagents, avoiding harsh chemicals. ReGenFix enables sustainable, low-impact research while contributing to a cleaner, more circular laboratory economy.
ReGenFix also offer a Profitable Recycling Service, meaning that if you decide to dispose of your used chromatography columns anyway, you can take advantage of their programme in which they will give an estimate of the value of your columns and will buy them from you. You can also use the estimated value of your used column to pay the ReGenFix service on other columns you want to have regenerated.
If you are a UK lab user and have columns laying about in your laboratory that need some TLC to get back in proper working order, why not check out the super simple step-by-step process we have in place to help you get those columns like new again. Check out our Column Regeneration page.
