Virtual Service and Support Helps Labs Recover from COVID

During lockdown, iLab Solutions is offering virtual service and support to help keep labs running.  Many of our clients have hit snags when it comes to recommissioning their AKTAs, but not all of these have needed an engineer visit to site. Conscious of clients' own COVID security measures and keen to keep everyone safe, we've been offering troubleshooting sessions by video or phone to talk clients through simple steps to get their AKTA back up and running without the need for a site visit.

Some of our successes utilising virtual service and support:

Manchester University called us to log a potential breakdown of one of their systems. Instead of booking an engineer visit, we arranged a call to talk through the issue and diagnose the fault. We were able to advise that the issue that could be resolved in-house. We supplied a replacement valve and installation instructions from our engineer, resolving the issue without having to send an engineer to site.

UCL reported an issue with a Prime Plus carousel not turning and missing tubes. At iLab we specialise in supporting these older units and once we'd triaged the problem by phone, we were able to support the client to fit a replacement drive sleeve we supplied. Again, getting the lab up and running without having to send an engineer to site.
